[TOC] ## Description - Aircon turns off automatically in 30 minutes or so - Aircon vent has insufficient air flow - Aircon panel seems to always stay at some 23c - Aircon panel has no display ## Solution ### Aircon turns off in a short period Set the mode to `COOL`, fan to `HIGH` and `ON`. Use +/- buttons to set the target temperate to a lower one e.g. `18c`. The aircon unit can be controlled via building control room downstairs. If the aircon stops unexpectedly in a short period and if this happens all the time, ask building caretaker 3113 or Hilton reception to reset the aircon remotely. - Hilton's frontdesk : `07 5680 8000` - 3113 building manager : `07 5680 8980` Email `owners@3113sp.com.au` ### Aircon vent has insufficient airflow Explain to guests that each vent on the ceiling has an inhale as well as an exhale, i.e. half of the vent is inhale. The other half is exhale. Open the aircon service door, remove the filter. Filter often gets too much dirt and blocks the normal air flow. [image:903 align:left size:small] > ***IMPORTANT!*** Wash the filter later and put it back Because all the ducts are connected and aircon unit cool air is distributed via those pipes and each vent, blocking a vent will help other vents to get more air flow. - Use a big piece of paper or sticker to block off the other room's vent. It helps the circulation of the air flow to get stronger for other vents. ### Panel shows a fixed temperature The panel is a thermal detector. When idle, it shows the current room temperature it detects. When pressing '+/-' buttons, the panel shows the target temperature. ### Panel is dead no cooling With a new panel: - Turn off the aircon switchboard switch - Remove the old broken panel - Replace with a new panel - Turn on the aircon switch > ___DO NOT___ throw away the broken panel. It may be repairable. ### Pepper's Soul LCD AC panel unresponsive Will need a panel replacement.
